It’s been difficult to find a comprehensive article or blog post regarding the new features in GRC 10.1, which was released last month. Below is an introduction to the new features, which I corralled from various sources over the World Wide Web and through my own meandering within the system I am currently configuring.
@SAPMerk and I have had a busy few weeks getting the integrated 10.1 system up and running, early mornings consist of a double espresso shot (herbal tea for me) and browsing through new SAP Notes. Looking forward to seeing the new functionality in action LIVE! at GRC 2014. For now, this is what I’ve gathered:
SAP Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) 10.1 has been enhanced and expanded to support the new HTML5 and UI5. It now comes with a common standard ABAP platform leveraging SAP NetWeaver 7.40 SP02 and that provides the option to run on the SAP HANA database. SAP Access Control (AC) 10.1 features include HANA integration and platform support, Access Control HANA analytics, new access request and approver forms, and other innovative product innovations. SAP has delivered GRC Process Control (PC) 10.1 with some new value addition features and UI changes which considerably improves the look of the application and helps in establishing a compliance frame-work for effective and efficient decision making. GRC AC 10.1 runs smoothly on IE 9 and Chrome. New features such as Remediation view and simplified access request mandatorily need IE9 and Chrome. Remediation View will run SAP Access Risk Analysis only when an SAP Netweaver Gateway connection is established.
